Arvanitis Cave Village

Our stay was ruined by the staff's deeply unprofessional behavior, especially a woman named Katrina. After a petty disagreement over an extra €1, even though we'd already paid a premium, we missed our bus. When I respectfully objected to being nickel-and-dimed, she snapped that next time we should “book a €20 room.” After I said I'd mention the experience in a review, the hotel refunded the €1 and sent a vindictive, unprofessional message. They said it “wasn't about the money,” but that they “wanted to teach us a lesson.” They claimed our room was dirtier than other guests' rooms because of a smell and diapers. We were traveling with a toddler. The diaper issue they raised was one swim-diaper, containing only pool water, that was briefly misplaced. The smell was just from cooking ordinary Asian meals. Insulting a family and saying you need to “teach a paying guest a lesson” for traveling with a toddler and cooking cultural food is beyond unacceptable. We left with bitter memories. If Katrina's aim as a hospitality professional is to alienate families and power-trip over €1, she succeeded. Families, especially those with children, should stay far away. They don't understand basic customer service.

Comfortable, clean, and set up with everything two people might need. Just right for a couple :)

Clean and cozy accommodation, with a tasty breakfast that was nicely prepared. Kate was a wonderful host, so friendly and helpful. Highly recommend!

A great pick for the island: excellent rooms, a fantastic breakfast, and Katerina, the kindest hostess, always smiling. They offer transfers from the airport or port to the rooms, and a welcome drink when you arrive, depending on the time. Katerina is always available with information. You should try them, the rooms are excellent!
