Pension Annoula

The owner was nice, the facilities were clean, and breakfast was good.

There are several restaurants around the town center, about a three-minute walk from the guesthouse. Supermarkets and a fruit and vegetable shop are close by too. The route is signposted, but maps can mislead you because the entrance is on another street. The entrance is over a bridge. Courtyard parking is private, but only for bicycles. Niko, the owner, speaks German and was very friendly and helpful with everything. The rooms have been newly renovated, with plenty of wardrobe and other storage space, a quiet new air conditioner, and a refrigerator. There’s also a little terrace with a table and two chairs. In room 4, the double bed is only 1.20m wide, which was the downside for us. The shower and toilet share one room, while the sink is separate. Breakfast was quite basic and the same each morning apart from the fruit: yogurt, fruit, a hard-boiled egg, white bread, one kind of jam, honey, cold cuts, cheese, and a ready-made cake. Drinks were instant coffee or tea, plus orange juice with no flavor.

The rooms have all the comforts and, especially useful in summer, a refrigerator with a freezer. The owners are kind and welcoming, and the location is excellent for exploring the island’s southeast.

We had a pleasant surprise staying here. The rooms were exceptionally clean, and the owners were incredibly kind. It’s also an excellent base for a holiday on Rhodes. I hope I can come back, and I’d recommend it to anyone!
