Villa Aclando

A lovely place, but it's up in the mountains, so make sure you rent a car.

Such an amazing house!

We made good use of the villa's family setup: the travel cot, high chair and baby gates were all provided, and the enclosed gates helped us feel secure with the little ones. The pool is a good size and was cleaned while we were there. There was also a slide, playhouse and ping pong table to keep the children busy. The villa is quiet and peaceful, which suited us well. You can walk about 20 minutes to a supermarket and two tavernas, but having a car makes getting around much easier. There is parking for two cars at the villa. Inside, the three bedrooms, two with king beds and one with twin beds, and the two bathrooms worked well for our group. It was well equipped, with aircon, two safe boxes, plenty of kitchenware, a washing machine and dryer. We especially liked the downstairs outdoor seating and BBQ, with charcoal provided, and the big upstairs balcony for breakfast. A few things could use attention: two of the six sunbeds were broken, and some kitchen chairs felt wobbly. We also missed having a welcome pack or any instructions and contact details for problems or emergencies. A bottle of water in the fridge would have been welcome too, especially since we arrived at 2am with two very young children. A great villa with lots of facilities in a calm spot, though those small details could be improved.

There was plenty of room and the villa is beautiful, but several things let us down. We had no hot water for showers, the pool wasn't heated, and the washer and dryer had instructions only in Greek. The living room TV didn't work, and neither did the air conditioning and heating in one room. We were a little disappointed.
