The owner’s response when we raised these problems at checkout was the worst part. We suggested a small refund, since there was no suitable nearby accommodation to move to, and got no empathy or professionalism. She acted as if we’d made it all up, as though we’d kicked a puppy. I’d avoid this place. The location is good, and maybe we could have put up with the ants, lack of natural light, and shower that takes so long to heat it’s unsuitable for a family of five. But an angry neighbour shouted and cried at us when we tried to use the advertised terrace, saying the owner had no right to advertise it. We don’t know whether that was true, but we didn’t want a big argument on holiday. My genuine advice is to avoid it.

It’s clean, well kept, and convenient in the heart of Athens, but there’s no window. Every morning, the jerk next door shouts and curses.
