The room was clean and spacious, and service was great. It’s an old building, though, and the overall state of it is really poor. You can hear people talking in the corridors through the thin doors. The location is easily the best thing about the hotel.

The pillows were good, which was a plus. The toilet cistern was broken, but I’ve dealt with that kind of thing before and fixed it for them. The shower leaked and the soap holder was broken too. For what we paid, I was very disappointed.

Downstairs there are great restaurants and cafes, and I loved this little boutique hotel’s location. Service was really friendly, and having an elevator meant we didn’t have to haul our suitcase up the stairs. I’d booked a room with an Acropolis view, but could only see the viewing platform, not the actual structure. There was a lovely view of a church, though. I’ll be back!

The rooms were spacious, clean, and renovated, and the hotel works well for either business or leisure. It’s in a great central location, and the reception desk service was professional, kind, and attentive all day. You might get a partial Acropolis view from your room if you’re lucky. I’d definitely recommend it for a stay in Athens.
