Getting there with heavy suitcases was easy, since it’s only a five minute walk from Monasteraki station. Check-in and check-out were smooth and quick. The hotel sits in a busy part of Plaka, with shops and plenty of places to eat close by. The rooms are moderate in size and well kept, and housekeeping tidied mine daily. The bathrooms are a bit smaller than average but clean. Breakfast was above average, with three or four hot choices, and the rooftop restaurant is wonderful for taking in the Acropolis view over fresh orange juice. For Plaka, it’s certainly good value and a highly recommended place to stay in Athens.

The staff made this stay stand out. They were consistently attentive, friendly, and ready to help. Breakfast was delicious each morning, and all the main sights were within walking distance. The Adrian Hotel is right in the heart of Athens, and I had a wonderful stay.

After our nine hour flight, we were exhausted and asked whether we could check in early. They were great about it and said the room would be ready in an hour. While we waited, we had breakfast on the rooftop terrace with its lovely Acropolis view. There was a good range of food, and the waitresses were always sweet about bringing fresh orange juice to the table each morning. There are lots of shops and restaurants nearby, and it was easy to get around on foot. The room was nice, though the shower was a little small for us. It didn’t affect our stay, which was a great experience. We were here for a few days before our cruise and would recommend it.

Plenty of room to unwind, and the air conditioning worked well. I loved having breakfast at the rooftop bar, with little sparrows fluttering down nearby. It melted my heart. Amazing place!
