Aiolos Apartments Ermou 64 2nd Floor

The location puts you right in the middle of things. The Acropolis entrance is walkable, the metro is across the street, Agora is about six minutes away on foot, and there are coffee shops and restaurants everywhere. Since it’s so central, Saturday night was noisy, but we shut the windows and ran the AC. After busy days out, it didn’t keep us awake. There’s also a lockers4all just around the corner if you arrive with bags to store. We stayed in 2B3. We’d flown in early from Turkey, and the owner replied quickly when we asked about checking in ahead of schedule. We got in at 13:00 instead of 15:00. They were still cleaning when we arrived, so I felt bad that we might have rushed them. The room itself was spacious and clean, though I wish it had a stove. The lobby was cluttered with unopened mail, and the ground-floor keypad had been smashed, but it still worked.

The staff and owner were warm and helpful, and the room was clean, spacious, and pleasant. It’s right by the train station, in the city centre, with shopping streets and lots to see nearby. There’s nightlife and theater too, so it works well if you’re spending a few days in Athens.

The owner made us feel welcome and was helpful. From the apartment, we could walk to the main sights as well as plenty of good bars and restaurants. It’s in a lively neighbourhood, though, and nights can get pretty noisy. We’ll still book it again next time. :)

Right in the middle of Monastiraki Square, so the location couldn’t have suited us better. The host sent clear directions for finding the apartment and the other key details. The place was clean and had a lovely air conditioner. We were very happy with it.
