The kind receptionist and comfortable bed and pillows were the good parts. Our renovated room was okay, but the hotel felt misleading because neither the listing photos nor description said there were unrenovated rooms. The gap between the two types was shocking: the older rooms had dirty furniture and a very dated bathroom. Even the renovated rooms lacked basics, like somewhere to hang wet towels. Breakfast was very poor, with burned crepes and so few appealing options that I felt it would have been better not to offer breakfast. The bathroom water only ever got lukewarm, not properly hot. On checkout day the elevator wasn’t working, and the second floor smelled strongly unpleasant, including the toilets. The hotel gives the impression of having a lot to offer, but the quality is very low. If the room differences had been made clear, expectations could at least have been set.

The staff were great, and for the price the hotel and location were a good deal. We slept really well, the beds and pillows were so comfortable. It’s a short walk to a little square with very good cafes and restaurants. Flame and convoi are great! My one small gripe is that I wish the milk and juice had been colder.

The receptionist was already in touch before we arrived and arranged things around our needs. Since we had to leave before breakfast was served, they packed one for us to take along. The room was spacious and warmed up quickly, and the hotel was comfortable and fairly close to the city. We could park in front, but that shared lot with the kids’ fun park filled up quickly as people arrived there.

The manager personally greets guests and makes sure they’re comfortable. This little hotel was a pleasant surprise: newly renovated, with clean, spacious rooms. I even got a welcome pack with fruit and water. It’s every bit as good as a 3 or 4 star hotel, and I’d recommend it for a stay in Athens.

The breakfast served just for me felt like a luxury, and there are lots of good restaurants around the hotel, about a 5-10 minute drive away. It’s a little removed from the center, but I preferred that to getting caught up in the chaos there. The rooms were great and clean, and I loved the small private pool. I’d definitely recommend it, especially for a business trip.
