Athens Ermou Paradise Apartments

The room was a good size and we slept really well. We also ordered room service, and the huge clip sandwich was tasty and fantastic. Breakfast was outstanding, fresh and plentiful, served on the 7th floor with an amazing Acropolis view. The staff were wonderful, and we loved the candies at reception. We really loved our stay. It’s perfectly located for visiting many attractions.

We booked directly on the property’s website for four days and paid a premium, asking for a higher floor. The request was ignored, and we ended up on the 1st floor. After the positive reviews, we’d been excited to stay, but we were very disappointed. The room was hot with poor ventilation. Opening the windows brought in secondhand cigarette smoke, and the noise continued until 1:00 am. After a 23-hour journey, we lost sleep. The next day they brought a fan that didn’t work and kept saying they couldn’t adjust the heat. We slept only a few hours again, from around 1:00 am to 5:00 am. On the third day, tired out, we asked to move rooms. They put us in another room on the same floor, and we had to call in the middle of the night again to get the temperature adjusted. The stay badly affected our Greece trip, and this likely isn’t a destination we’d want to revisit. Breakfast was okay, but the breakfast staff chatted and laughed among themselves and didn’t seem to care about guests. The hotel claims four-star service, but the service didn’t meet that standard. It didn’t feel like they cared for their guests.

The rooftop dinner was incredible, with great food, impeccable service, and a stunning sunset over the Acropolis. Our room was clean and comfortable, and the location made it easy to walk to everything we wanted to see and do. The staff were welcoming from the moment we arrived. They brought our bags to reception as soon as we got out of the taxi, and reception was friendly and informative. Highly recommend!

I walked everywhere from this centrally located hotel, and it’s less than a five-minute walk from the Syntagma stop if you’re coming by metro from the airport. The bed was the most comfortable hotel bed I’ve ever slept in. Breakfast had a wide selection of Greek specialties, pastries, and spreads. I loved the olive spread. I could see the Acropolis from both my room and the breakfast area. I’m an exceptionally light sleeper, which can be a problem, but I slept without any issues here. If you’re a light sleeper too, I highly recommend it. So glad I found this hotel for my Athens trip.
