Athenian Lofts

George's kindness is what I'll remember most. Someone in our group had a medical challenge, and he made it his mission to help accommodate him. His compassion and hospitality were beyond compare, and it was a privilege to meet him and stay in his lofts. Our time there was short, but it won't be forgotten. The facilities felt thoughtful, spotless, and secure, and our room was right in the middle of everything. My Athens visit was incredible, with my stay at Athenian playing a big part in that. George was kind, quick to respond, and really helpful throughout our stay at the Athenian Lofts. We loved the cozy neighborhood, and most places we wanted to go were an easy walk away. We booked the top-floor Jacuzzi apartment, and it was amazing. Those Acropolis views were stunning. We had an unforgettable time and will definitely come back.

The view is so worth it. Waking up to it and soaking in the hot tub above the Acropolis was wonderful. The apartment had what we needed, though no USB outlets, so remember a converter if you need one like I did. Sarri's Souvlaki and other food options are easy to reach on foot, and there's a mini mart and grocery store just a few minutes away for wine, snacks, or energy drinks. It's a cozy area in a great spot, but very loud. They provide ear plugs. The music and people chatting didn't bother me, though the church bells on Sunday morning seemed to go on forever, lol. The Acropolis is an easy 25 minute walk.

George was already in touch before we reached Athens and kindly arranged a car or taxi to collect us at 1 AM. He checked in on us and was always a text away if we needed advice, which made the place feel homely. We'll visit again, and it'll certainly be with Geroge. The location was great for getting around, with the metro and shops for everyday and tourist needs about a 10-minute walk away. The Acropolis and a few other sights were roughly 20 minutes on foot. Unrelated to the property, a note for anyone bringing a stroller with a toddler or children: in Athens you'll need to fold it about 30% of the time, and in Santorini about 50% of the time, or push it on the road. Some tourist-area footpaths are pebbled, and others are so narrow they only just fit a stroller.
