Athens Hawks Urban

The bathrooms could use some improvement: the sinks are very small and awkward, and water gets all over the floor from the showers, which were otherwise great. The hostel itself is cozy and cool, with a bit of a hotel feel. Beds come with two very good quality pillows each, plus two good quality towels. The kitchen is well equipped and super clean, and the common areas have a great atmosphere with cool people.

I really enjoyed my one-night stay in a mixed dorm. It’s a very big, new hostel, close to a bus stop for the airport, maybe a 10-minute walk or less, and also near a metro stop. There’s room to work or just chill, and my bed was very comfortable. The toilets and shower were clean.

The four-bed female dorm was spotless, including the showers, bathroom and bed. The hostel is brand new, clean and modern, and you can tell the owners have put a lot into it. The rooftop is gorgeous with a bohemian feel, and the gym is amazing, with air conditioning. Staff were very helpful. It’s really close to the metro but away from the tourist crowds and chaos. Highly recommend!

The private room was clean and comfortable, though the air conditioning didn’t work. The building is impressive and in a quiet residential area. But a private party on my first night of a week-long stay kept me awake until 4am, and there was heavy drilling noise early one morning too. When I complained, staff didn’t even apologise or waive the 15 EUR late check out fee. They barely managed a smile, let alone a hello. It was a decent stay overall, but the noise and staff were a letdown.
