Athens Hive

The staff at Athens Hive were always ready to help and so friendly. The location is ideal, with public transport and major attractions close by. Our room was comfortable, spacious and spotless. I’ll definitely pick this fantastic hotel again on my next Athens visit.

We had a really nice time here. The apartment was clean and looked just like the photos, and the host was polite and helpful. A welcome cookie, water, coffee, tea and sugar were a lovely surprise. You’re close to the subway and bus stops, with a supermarket next door and great pubs nearby. Thank you, we wholeheartedly recommend it.

It was surprisingly quiet throughout the building, and the host was lovely. She replied quickly, was always willing to help, and left us cakes, water and juice as a welcome gift. Ask her for restaurant recommendations! Our room had a well-equipped kitchen with basic dishes, a toaster, kettle, fridge and cooker. There was also a bathroom stocked with towels, shampoo, conditioner, shower gel and toilet paper, plus a hair dryer. The bedroom had a TV, wardrobe and air conditioning, a lifesaver in summer. The building is new and clean, and the rooms are spacious and cosy. Attiki metro station is an eight-minute walk away, with direct links to places like Monastiraki Square, Syntagma Square and Pireus Port.

There’s no lift, which could be a problem if you have trouble walking or heavy bags. The place also gets really cold, even though there’s air conditioning in the bedroom, and the shower often has no hot water. It’s a new apartment-style hotel with lovely staff, and generally not bad for the price, but the cooking setup is quite limited: no chopping board, knife or microwave, among other things.
