The Athens Mirabello

Our room was quiet, clean, and comfortable, and breakfast was good. We arrived around 5 a.m., and Hotel Mirabello was the only hotel to reply to our email ahead of time and confirm a late check-in was possible. Nikolaos, who we spoke with during the day, and the colleague who welcomed us overnight were both extremely kind, professional, and helpful. They really made us feel welcome, and even extended our check-out after seeing how tired we were. That meant a lot. Great service and hospitality, highly recommended.

The staff really made the week for us. Everyone, from reception to breakfast and housekeeping, was attentive, polite, and very helpful. Our room was fine for a three-star hotel, with a comfortable bed and a lovely terrace. Breakfast had plenty of variety, including sweets, pastries, and some gluten-free choices. They even let us have a small breakfast before our 3 a.m. departure. The location is handy too, close to Omonia square and its metro and tourist buses. The nearby streets didn’t feel especially safe at night, though we had no problems during the week.

An older hotel, but it covers the basics at a reasonable price, including breakfast and a fairly good location. The room was small, with a bath rather than a shower, and a view of an abandoned building. Monastiraki is about a 15-minute walk away, and Sintagma about 20 minutes. The neighborhood has lots of Pakistani and Indian shops.

Breakfast was really good, with a nice choice of local foods, and my room is clean with a very comfortable bed. The people at the Mirabello are friendly, polite, and full of useful information. Their dinner recommendation last night was sublime. It’s centrally located and the price is hard to beat. I’d definitely recommend it to a friend, 10/10.
