Athens Utopia Ermou

The location is fantastic, with easy walks in every direction, and the staff were friendly and helpful. From our room and the rooftop bar and restaurant, we had amazing views of the Acropolis. I’d still highly recommend the hotel. A couple of practical things caught us out: the outlets beside the bed were hard to reach because of the headboard, and the bathroom outlet was attached to the hair dryer, so we couldn’t plug in a converter. We managed, and it wasn’t a major problem. With the busy rooftop bar, the elevator can also mean a long wait, and it only fits two people.

We spent 4 days here and had a great time. The view was good, the place was clean, the staff friendly, and everything was close by. The hotel’s on a pedestrian street, so you have to haul your luggage in, but you also don’t have to dodge cars or motorbikes.

The hotel is in an amazing spot, within walking distance of everything, on a busy pedestrian street lined with all sorts of shops. The rooms are clean and a good size, though there’s no lobby. The rooftop restaurant looks out at the Acropolis. The main drawback for me was the stingy breakfast: you get one drink and one menu item. They wouldn’t refill my small coffee, so bring a bottle of water to breakfast if you don’t want to get dehydrated.

The staff were wonderful, and the rooftop views were stunning. We had a lovely stay, especially thanks to the hotel’s spot right in the centre of Athens. The bedroom and bathroom were beautiful. The only drawbacks were the limited wardrobe space, so we lived out of our suitcase for four days, and the lack of a balcony. I’d definitely stay again.
