Bedbox Hostel

The people working here are what make the difference. They genuinely care for their guests and looked after me so well. I’m grateful they welcomed me and made sure I had a great time. They’re all wonderful in their own distinct ways. The facilities are good too, with plenty of toilets and showers on every floor, plus a curtain that divides the four-bed dorm to give you more privacy. This place feels like my home in Athens.

The lobby had a lively feel, and the wall art and notes gave the place some character. Sophia at reception was kind and easy to talk to, which meant a lot while I was traveling solo. Shops, transport and everything else were nearby. My room at BadBox Hotel was basic and simple, but fair for the price. I did expect a little more overall, though I really liked the atmosphere and would recommend it for the value.

I only noticed the basement living room and rooftop after checking out, so I missed those during my first hostel stay. I spent two nights in a shared room for six and was lucky to have quiet, considerate roommates. The staff greeted me warmly and were positive to deal with. Reception and kitchen were clean, the neighborhood felt safe and convenient, and I could leave my bag before and after my stay. The high ratings seem well deserved.

Great value for a short visit to Athens. The hostel is clean and well located, and the staff were very welcoming and friendly. Also appreciated that some of them spoke French.
