George was wonderful and helpful, even picking us up from the airport at 11pm after our flight was delayed. We hope to book again next year. The apartment is in a lovely part of Plaka, close to everything, and works well for a couple or a family of three exploring Athens. The bed and linens were clean and comfortable. The bathroom is small, but it did the job for a shower after a hot day at the ancient sites. The kitchen has a basic stove and oven, sink, small fridge, coffee pot, Keurig-style device, and, our favorite, an electric kettle we used all the time. It also had the basics for cooking and a drawer or cupboard with some ingredients. Bazaar grocery shop is about a three-minute walk around the corner for reasonably priced, good groceries, and there’s an ATM by the lobby entrance. WiFi was fast and steady for browsing, movies, and the kids’ games. Getting to or from the airport was easy on the X95 Airport Express bus, with its stop less than a five-minute walk from the apartment at Syntagma Square. All in all, a first-rate stay.

The bed was so comfortable, and the AC worked well. There are power outlets close to the bed too. The bathroom is a bit cramped for showering, using the WC, and brushing your teeth, but it wasn’t a dealbreaker. It’s a comfortable, practical, stylish apartment, clean and tidy rather than luxurious, with a small fridge and the option to cook. For the price, it’s one of the better deals around here. The subway ride from the airport takes about 35 minutes, then it’s a seven-minute walk. Most of the main sights are within walking distance.

The location is outstanding, and the property itself is nice, but the cleanliness left a lot to be desired. We booked for three, yet only beds for two had been made up. We ended up making a single bed ourselves with double sheets from the closet, and those sheets weren’t as clean as they should have been. The bathroom was the main problem. It’s hard to fit in there even if you’re average-sized, and if you’re overweight, think twice or you might piss yourself. They were very strict about check-in being around 3 PM, but came into our room before the scheduled checkout time to bring a change of clothes.

The only real drawback is the bathroom, which is tiny and very uncomfortable. Otherwise, it’s a great fit for a couple, right in the center and in a really good area for seeing what Athens is about. It has all sorts of amenities.
