The back streets have a slightly dodgy feel, though the area overall isn’t too bad. There are some nice bars within a five-minute walk and plenty of restaurants. Watch out crossing the nearby square, the traffic is horrendous. The hotel was reasonably priced, with a comfortable room, a good bathroom and a powerful shower. Our room, 210, had a balcony over the street, and reception staff were very helpful.

We had a balcony, a fridge, and air conditioning, which I honestly hadn’t expected. The room was spacious and REALLY clean, with daily room cleaning and fresh towels every day. The reception service was great, and the metro is nearby. There’s a supermarket opposite and a few tavernas close by. For our four- or five-day Athens trip, it was a great choice. I don’t know why people leave low reviews!

There are several restaurants and mini-markets around the hotel, and it’s very convenient for tourist spots, with the metro just a three-minute walk away. The staff were very friendly, and the room was cleaned regularly. My only drawback was the weak soundproofing in the walls.

The rooms are okay, and it’s a solid way to save money. The neighborhood is bad, though that mainly matters if you walk around there. Usually you’d just go to the Metro station, about a minute away. Decent hotel for the price.

I’ve rarely written a bad review, but this was the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in. I don’t understand why its location is rated “great.” It’s in one of the worst parts of Athens. There are lots of shady people and drug addicts just one street up, and I didn’t feel safe stepping outside at night. The area around the hotel definitely isn’t safe.
