Enattica Suites

The staff were lovely and ready with help or advice, and our room was kept pretty clean throughout the week. The hotel's location was why I booked: between Syntagma and Monastiraki, with cheap street and local food nearby, and easy walks all over central Athens, even to the National Archaeological Museum. I booked a triple Acropolis view room but didn't ask for a specific one, which turned out to be a mistake. We got the room I most dreaded, farthest back from the view, with a tiny closet that fit only two garments. We had to spread our clothes over the couch or hang them on the one chair to air. A wall blocked the view, so we had to stand on tiptoes or crane our necks sideways from the balcony to see it. That didn't feel worth the room category we paid for. Bulky decorations and the coffee machine also took up useful counter space. At least being higher up meant the street noise didn't bother us. Getting to the upper floors means taking a tiny elevator, just enough for two petite people and carry-on bags. Good luck with giant luggage. One night the AC wouldn't work, and the next day we were told the sliding door had to be shut. It was loose and sometimes opened on its own.

We had clean, very spacious rooms and excellent service, with someone at the front desk 24/7. The location is amazing, within walking distance of everything. It took us 21 minutes to get to the Acropolis on foot in the morning, and 5-7 minutes to reach everywhere else we wanted to go. There's also a rooftop view of the Acropolis. We'd definitely book here again.

The room was spacious and had plenty of amenities, so this could work well for people looking for nightlife. We booked without realizing how busy the district gets. Our first-floor room faced the street and a bar across the way played loud music until 3 a.m. It wasn't fully soundproof, and earplugs and noise-cancelling headphones didn't help. I could barely sleep. The shower door was broken or missing, which was disappointing. We asked to change rooms, but the quieter and upgraded rooms were already taken. If you stay here, I'd ask for a higher floor away from the street and check in early to improve your chances. For anyone hoping for quiet nights and early starts exploring Athens, it's not ideal.

The main attraction is how handy the location is. Enattica Suites is in Plaka, with all the major Athens sights an easy walk away. The place is nice, though it could use some maintenance. Nighttime noise made it hard for us to get proper rest. A decent choice if being close to everything in the city centre is what matters to you.
