GK Athens by GK Hospitality Group

We chose this place for its location, and it worked out well. We could walk to the Acropolis, Monterariski Square, the Changing of the Guard, and all around downtown. The rooms are like small apartments, with everything you need. Our luggage was lost on the way to Athens, and the team at GK Athens were very helpful in getting it back from the airline. There aren’t any views from the property, but that wouldn’t stop us from staying again.

There are lots of good restaurants and places to see within walking distance. We liked the lovely rooms and the secure courtyard, and would happily stay again. The only thing missing for us was a pool.

I had a nice room with a bedroom, bathroom, and living area. I'd stay here again, though the cable service could be better.

The location was excellent, near the Acropolis, metro station with direct airport service, shops, restaurants, flea market, and hop-on, hop-off buses. Our spacious modern apartment was on the 6th floor and had a small fridge, stove, and sink. At night, we kept getting itchy and bitten by something. My 6-year-old had bites across his face and hands, and my husband and I were itchy too. I didn't see bed bugs, so I can't say what was biting us. There were also lots of gnats in the shower. The bed was just a box spring with a sheet over it, and I couldn't get comfortable, especially while pregnant. I ended up sleeping on the couch with my son.
