Heritage Apartments

Apartment 601 gave us a fantastic view of the Acropolis from one of its balconies. It was also huge, with three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a powder room, and a spacious kitchen, living and dining area. The desk is staffed around the clock, and the team gave great advice to us as first-time visitors. The neighborhood is one of the best in the city. We could walk to the Acropolis in about 15 minutes, and the hop-on bus was 10 minutes away. We felt very lucky to have booked it.

We woke early to nonstop drilling, banging and hammering that shook the room, and the noise was supposed to continue until 3 PM after starting at 8 in the morning. When we complained at the front desk, the woman barely spoke English and just said, “they have to do it.” The room also had a stained couch, only two of the four pillows had cases, and there were no hand towels. A leaking toilet kept making noise all night and waking me up. This was completely unacceptable for a place calling itself a boutique hotel. I wouldn’t stay here again.

We chose this place for its updated rooms and great location, but our room, 502, had not been cleaned when we checked in. There was hair everywhere. The sheets were yellow and clearly used, with hair on them, and the blankets were covered in hair too and hadn’t been washed. The place was filthy and disgusting. I emailed three times and am still waiting for a manager to respond. They don’t seem to care, and I wouldn’t recommend it.

For our first trip to Athens, we booked a two-bedroom room for our two adult children and us. It was a great size and the location was amazing. We couldn’t have picked a better place to spend our first visit.
