John and Alex were quick to help with questions and anything we needed. On our final night, the safe wouldn’t open, and Alex came over at midnight so we could get our passports before leaving in the morning. We were very relieved and grateful. The place worked really well for our family of four. It’s centrally located, we walked everywhere and always felt safe. The apartment looked just like the photos, though they don’t show how high the quality of everything is. It’s beautifully equipped and furnished. A few practical details: the washer is also a dryer, and there’s a big drying rack for anything that can’t go in it. There’s a hair dryer too. We’d absolutely stay here again on another Athens trip.

John was a great host, easy to reach and helpful whenever we needed something. The apartment is clean and spacious, and the location puts you close to the center, restaurants and bars. We’ll be back. Thanks, John, for such a memorable stay and experience 🙏🏻

John and his wife Xenia made us feel welcome from the start, and we had a wonderful week in Athens. The apartment was spotless when we arrived, cozy despite its modern furniture, and just as pictured. Its two bathrooms were useful for our family of four, especially with our two teenage boys. The en-suite in the main bedroom is small but works well, and the larger hall bathroom with its walk-in shower more than makes up for that. Both showers had good pressure. The mattresses, including the twin beds, were comfortable, and we slept well. Street noise from the busy road wasn’t excessive. There’s plenty of closet space in both bedrooms, with room to hang clothes and store folded things. The kitchen has a coffee machine and some capsules, a roomy fridge, an oven, a microwave and enough dishes for four. It doesn’t have a dishwasher, but we hardly minded since we ate out most of the time. Good restaurants and bars are just steps away. The washer-dryer was handy too. There’s a safe in a closet, though we felt secure and barely used it. We could walk to the Acropolis, its museum, the Agora, Plaka, Psyri, Syntagma Square and the Olympic stadium, all within about 20-25 minutes. We only took public transport for the airport and to go to the seaside, such as Vouliagmeni. From the airport, the blue line, number 3, goes to Monastiraki Square, then it’s a five-minute walk to the apartment. The bedrooms and living room all have air conditioning. We didn’t need it in February, but it can also provide extra heat if needed. The appliances are high quality and the place is lovely and comfortable. Thank you, John and Xenia, for making our time in your beautiful city even more special.

Restaurants, breakfast spots and local shops are only a few metres away, with Ermou Street and Monastiraki a short walk off. The host was great and happy to answer our questions. The apartment has everything you need, with a high-quality finish, and the location is excellent. A real hidden gem in Athens. We’ll definitely stay again, highly recommended.
