I stood outside for hours after arriving to find the hotel shut and nobody there. Calls went unanswered, and eventually I had to find somewhere else to stay. It was a nightmare. I did get a full refund, but only after reaching Booking.com because I couldn’t contact the hotel. Don’t book here, they’re scammers.

They cancelled our booking a month before check-in, after keeping the payment for several months. I only got the accommodation cost back, with no interest, even though they’d held the money all that time. The terms said I would lose all my money if I cancelled, yet the hotel seems to think it’s fine to keep customers’ money for months. It feels like they use guests as cheap bridging loans. Thieves, don’t stay there.

Bedbugs ruined my vacation. Even after they moved me to another room, I kept getting new bites and had an allergic reaction, so I bought medication. I couldn’t go to the beach while in Greece. When I told the manager I wanted to leave and be refunded for the three paid nights I wouldn’t use, he was texting and barely listening. Then he got angry, shouted, and ran around. I barricaded myself in my room, and only Booking.com’s help let me leave the building safely. The property refused a refund. Once I’d left, they cancelled the reservation on their end as a no-show, despite Booking.com having recorded calls while trying to get me out. I believe they do this so people can’t leave reviews on Booking.com.

The room was a decent size, with a balcony, and it was a good price. We were able to check in early, and it was clean apart from the issues below. The metro is right nearby, and the center is a reasonable distance away. The bedbugs are a serious risk. On the last night, I switched on the light and saw one on the bed’s headrest. The sheets had been washed, but still showed dried blood stains, and the towels weren’t very clean either. A couple of friends had booked the same room type just two minutes before I booked, months earlier. Their flight got in at 8AM, and we were in town around 10AM after leaving for the airport at 6AM. They woke at 3AM to go to the airport, only to find their reservation had been cancelled a few hours before, with just an email from Booking. Even though we’d checked in, we spent our whole first day trying to find them somewhere else at short notice.
