Kallimarmaro Apartment

We had eight people and there was plenty of room in this bright, spacious four-level apartment. The kitchen was well equipped and easy to use. The layout runs from a kitchen, living room with fireplace, bathroom, and large windows on the entrance floor to a lower level with a heated indoor pool, bathroom and shower, garden seating area, basketball court, and another room with its own bathroom and shower. Upstairs are two rooms with attached bathrooms and showers, plus a utility room with an iron for the washing machine. The top floor is reached by elevator; although there are stairs, they’re really dangerous and not for use. The bathrooms on that floor are cramped and hot, and the shower on one of the two balconies offers no privacy from the neighbors. Street parking was usually hard to find because the road was full of cars, though motorcycle parking shouldn’t be a problem. The villa is on a high area on a mountain, away from the city center, but about a 10-minute walk from the restaurant and shop area. The internet worked very poorly.

The owners gave us an amazing welcome and looked after us so well. It’s an incredible house, almost its own little world in Athens’ most vibrant neighborhood.
