My family and I were extremely disappointed by the service. I use a power wheelchair full time, and before booking I specifically confirmed with the property manager that the apartment would accommodate it. I gave them my chair's measurements and asked whether at least one bathroom was accessible. I was assured the building and all rooms would be no problem for wheelchair access. That assurance didn't match what we found. There was a step at the entrance that my chair couldn't get over, and it barely fit through the bathroom doorways. The manager repeatedly said they'd never had accessibility problems with wheelchair users before, but offered no help that night. I was left outside for hours until we improvised a ramp from concrete slabs we found across the street. The manager said they'd find a solution, but we spent most of the next day waiting and trying to get updates. After getting no response as time went on, we had to buy our own portable ramp from a store I'd told the manager about that morning. If I had known the apartments' actual accessibility, I wouldn't have booked. I also found an earlier guest review describing similar misrepresentations, which conflicts with the manager's repeated claims that this had never happened to wheelchair users. On top of that, only hours before check-in, we were told that two of the five rooms we'd booked had been overbooked. Our family had to split up, with some of us moved to another apartment. That unit was in poor condition and far below what we'd expect for the price.

The apartment allocation fell apart on the morning we arrived. We had booked five apartments at M & M Boutique Apartments for my family in Athens, but were told two weren't available, and four of us were moved to a dirty, run-down place. The main problem was accessibility. My cousin's custom-made 200kg wheelchair couldn't get over the huge step at the building entrance. The manager showed no concern and left her stuck outside in the middle of the night without help. We eventually made a makeshift ramp out of bricks from a nearby construction site. The manager said a proper ramp would come the next morning, then stopped answering our calls. We had to buy one ourselves for around €200. The ramp she brought later that day couldn't be used on the step. She also promised to compensate us, then disappeared from contact. When we complained through Booking.com, M & M denied responsibility and accused us of behaving improperly. The whole stay was a nightmare and felt dishonest. I've never had a worse accommodation experience. Avoid M & M Boutique Apartments.

The host was quick to respond and made sure I had what I needed, which helped me feel at home. The apartment at Alkimynis 111 was spotless and stylish, with all the amenities I needed for a comfortable stay. It's in a charming, quiet neighborhood, while still being close to the main attractions. I had an amazing time and would recommend it to anyone visiting Athens. I'd love to come back.

We had a marvelous time, and I'd highly recommend it. I wanted to give my girlfriend a once-in-a-lifetime trip to Greece, and this was exactly the kind of place I was after instead of a cheesy big hotel. The staff were attentive and knew their stuff, the location was brilliant, and the apartment standards were high. For the price range, I doubt you can find the same level of exclusivity.

The room was pleasant and well equipped, and the rooftop hot tub was amazing. M & M made a wonderful visit to Athens even better. You can walk to the major attractions, or take the nearby metro for just one or two stops. Highly recommended.
