The entrance stays open, so anyone can walk in, which I wasn't comfortable with. The room itself was clean and nice, though it wasn't the same one I had booked on Booking. A few things need repair, including the bathroom door.

The owner was incredibly polite and friendly, always reachable and quick to reply. Our apartment was cleaned daily, and the location was fantastic. It was bigger and cleaner than expected, with a huge balcony looking toward the Acropolis, all the amenities we needed, complimentary water, and an amazing, massive bathroom. Everything exceeded our expectations.
Check-in was straightforward, and our host did all they could to make us comfortable. The rooms were spacious, very clean, and comfortable, with a large, updated bathroom. The central location puts restaurants, cafes, and shops close by, and there's a parking garage within walking distance. We had a fantastic stay and would give more than five stars if we could.
The central spot made it easy to get around, with Monastiraki station about a five-minute walk away. Our room was roomy, clean, and had a luxurious feel. I'm glad I booked Metis despite seeing only a few Google reviews. Self check-in was easy, and the kind staff at the storefront and restaurant downstairs checked on us and helped print some documents. Street noise, car horns, and church bells carry up from the main road, so light sleepers may want earplugs. The staff were professional and helpful, and I highly recommend staying here in Athens.
The rooms were comfortable and well priced, and the WiFi worked fine. We used two apartments, the roof terrace and the luxury 2 apartment. The remaining balance was due when we arrived. For the first night's booking, we had to send a bank payment directly, so keep in mind that it means transferring money abroad. Wise or another bank service should work. Rooms were meant to be ready at 2 pm. We arrived early on Friday, and Stratos treated us to drinks at the wine bar downstairs while we waited. The shared spaces looked scruffy. At the entrance there was a cluttered storage area with a broken table and stacked chairs, presumably from the restaurant. The corridors and other common areas hadn't been cleaned yet. Wind can blow leaves and empty water bottles in from the first-floor terrace, apparently because some guests don't use the bin. It wasn't a major issue, but the first impression wasn't great. Both apartments worked fine, though taking the key card out switched off all the electricity, fridge included, so nothing stayed cold. The roof terrace door doesn't lock, meaning anyone can get up there, including to the room with the good view where we stayed. That room is smaller than you might expect. Its entrance is a sliding glass door with a white metal shutter outside, and the bed is right inside. I raised the fact that the shutter can't be locked from inside. With no curtain over the glass door, someone coming onto the terrace could open the shutter and see straight into the room while you slept. The terrace itself was worn, with bird droppings all over and a dirty shutter, and didn't look as nice as the website photos. It's a great location if you want to be right in the middle of everything, but the busy, narrow main road in front gets noisy and could bother light sleepers. For cheap bottled water, fruit, and snacks, there's an A to B supermarket across the road to the left near the ice cream parlour. Water costs 17 cents.
