Valentino at the reception desk was wonderful and couldn't have been more helpful. I'm very grateful to her, thank you! I stayed one night in September. The room was clean and the bed comfortable, though street noise made it noisy, which isn't unusual in Greece. I also loved the cafe attached to the hotel.

We could walk to Plaka, the National Archeological Museum, and lots of other places from this awesome location. There's also a Cafe right beside the hotel, handy for drinks and a little food.

The team were very friendly and supportive, and the beds were clean. The building is old, though it has been made nice. You can hear the street at night, but it was fine. We had a great stay.

The staff were very friendly, and I have no complaint about their service. The rooms, though, are outdated. From my balcony I looked out onto an alley with a cluster of drug addicts and homeless people. The beds weren't very comfortable, the sheets kept coming loose at night, and there was no duvet, just a thin cotton sheet and what felt like a polyester blanket. What really affected my stay was the area. The hotel is in Onomnia, not Monastiraki, even though it showed up when I searched for a hotel in Monastiraki on booking.com. I later learned that Onomnia has a rough reputation, especially its backstreets and alleyways. The hotel is opposite those streets, and walking through them at night felt very unsafe. I understand this isn't the hotel's fault and sympathize with them, but people should be able to make an informed choice. If you want a centrally located budget hotel at a good price, this may suit you. If feeling safe in the neighborhood matters a lot to you and you don't want to keep looking over your shoulder, I'd think twice.
