The quiet Mets setting worked well for us, with most of the historic sights still a 15-20 minute walk away. Shops and restaurants aren’t especially close, though, so expect a stroll when you want to find somewhere to eat. What stayed with us most was the suite itself. The Acropolis view from the outdoor jetted tub was unforgettable, and the architecture and interiors felt like proper boutique-hotel design. We also loved the breakfasts, which arrived in a thoughtful, unusual presentation, and the inventive cocktails. The team were friendly, professional, spoke excellent English, and went out of their way to help. They were quick to reply on WhatsApp from booking through checkout, which made everything easy. We had an incredible stay at the Acropolis View Supreme Suite Outdoor Jetted Tub at Monastik Living in Athina, and would recommend it highly.
The rooftop was a real treat, with the Acropolis in view, a hot tub, and a cozy garden where we could order well-made cocktails through WhatsApp. The bespoke breakfast boxes were such a clever idea, and the food was delicious. We’re still talking about them. We booked the corner suite, and its decor and details made us stop as soon as we walked in. The welcome basket had Greek snacks and liqueur, and everything from the comfort to the styling felt carefully considered. Spiros in particular went above and beyond, and the staff made our stay feel special. There are restaurants, bars, and shops nearby, and the main attractions are an easy walk away, though the hotel is on a major street. This was the highlight of our Athens trip. Thank you, Monastik living.
We were a little surprised that nobody acknowledged our birthday trip, especially at this price level. It wasn’t a big deal, but a small mention could help guests feel more special. The service was otherwise friendly and professional, and nearly five-star. The rooftop terrace was a favorite, with a great Acropolis view, a snug lounge area, and a small pool or tub for cooling off after a day out. The room had attractive modern eclectic styling and good amenities. We especially liked the shower gel, shampoo, and lotion. The hotel is handy for Plaka, the Acropolis and its museum, and the lively Pagrati area. Bus stops are close, with tram stops and a metro station a few minutes’ walk away. The street outside is busy and can smell bad, though the soundproofing kept that noise out of our room. You notice the street as soon as you step outside in the morning. Still, we had a lovely stay and would recommend it, particularly for the rooftop view.
The rooms were lovely and very clean, and the rooftop jacuzzi has a great view of the Acropolis. The staff were helpful and quick to sort out any issues. The area is central, though a little rough around the edges. It didn’t feel unsafe, just not like a posh part of the city. I loved how thoughtfully decorated the hotel is. There’s good taste in the details everywhere, and the owners are architects, which shows in the simple, modern design and atmosphere. We really enjoyed staying here and would choose it again when we’re in Athens.
The picnic basket breakfast we ordered ahead was fantastic and delicious, which was reassuring with our early airport flight and concern about limited food options. We also slept peacefully, despite my worry about Athens hotels being noisy, and enjoyed the rooftop spa area and chairs with views over the city and Acropolis. We had a two-bedroom corner-view suite for less than 24 hours on the way home to the US, and wished we could stay longer. The rooms connected through a hallway, each had its own kitchen, table area, vanity, spacious bathroom, and private door. The materials felt high-end and the design was thoughtful. The kitchens had what we needed, and there were lots of toiletries, including an eye mask, ear plugs, and a facial beauty mask. They kindly stored our many bags while our room was being prepared, then brought them up for our party of six. The location is busy and feels more like a business district. Although we were told the Acropolis was a 10-15 minute walk, the heat and traffic made it take much longer, and it was too far for my kids and my 75-year-old mom, so we took taxis most of the time. Keep that in mind if you expect to walk everywhere easily. If you want to be near the activity without the noise, it may suit you well. Thanks for a wonderful stay. We hope to return.
