The rooftop terrace had dumbbells and a TRX set, which I loved for doing a workout outdoors. There’s also a jacuzzi you can use for an extra charge if you fancy a little luxury. I ran out of time to try the complimentary bike, but thought that was a great idea too. I really appreciate travel that tries to be eco-friendly, so the solar panels and sustainable building mattered to me. The room felt welcoming from the moment I arrived, with everything I needed and a basket of food, water, and juice waiting for me. It was such a nice surprise after traveling. The hosts clearly put thought into making guests comfortable. They’re very friendly and always there to answer questions. I also loved the idea of an affordable small space for solo travelers paired with such a huge shared outdoor area, which makes perfect sense in Athens’ climate. If I travel to Athens alone again, I’ll stay at Sleepbox and hopefully get to try cycling in Athens traffic next time.

Theo, the owner, was a friendly and excellent host. The room was comfortable and had all the amenities I needed to feel at home, and the location and views were hard to beat. Staying here made my Athens trip even better. I absolutely recommend it.

In Feb'23, I found the room clean and in good condition, and it was easy to feel safe walking around at night. Restaurants and attractions are nearby, and Monastiraki station, with its airport connection, is less than 5-10 minutes away on foot. Watch out for the ramp outside the room, especially after rain, as it gets quite slippery. The private toilet and shower are on another floor, so bring flip-flops for walking through the building.

Spotless and minimalist, with a rooftop, easy access, and a perfect location. Super quiet, too.
