Breakfast was magnificent, and the staff were wonderfully friendly, helpful, and attentive. From the moment we walked in, we felt welcome and at home. Monument sits right in central Athens, yet it’s calm and serene. The historic listed building has been carefully renovated to keep its character while still offering the comforts you’d expect today. We had a perfect stay at a perfect hotel, one of our best ever. Many thanks and congratulations to the staff for their wonderful work. We’ll certainly book again when we’re back in Athens.

We stayed at Monument for a week in October, and months later we’re still talking about how beautiful and enjoyable it was. The room was stunning, the terrace was perfection, and the location was amazing. Breakfast was delicious, and the shower was majestic, lol. The staff were incredibly friendly. It’s a top tier hotel at a relatively affordable price. We didn’t use the spa, but it looked super serene. We loved this place so much and would 1000% stay again next time in Athens.

The breakfast was outstanding, with Greek yoghurt, fresh orange juice, and fancy dishes you could order. There was Nespresso coffee too, what else? We had a very exclusive stay in a beautiful room, where old monument design and renovated features came together in a tasteful way. Maria and Christina were so friendly. Exceptional hotel!

The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, and the whole place felt a little like visiting a very rich friend in his mansion. We’ve never stayed anywhere quite like it. We missed breakfast because we had an early flight, but we’ll definitely come back for it.

We travel a lot and tend to seek out small, independent, locally owned places with character. Monument exceeded every expectation. The building’s careful restoration is truly a work of art, and the hotel is excellent value for money. We loved the room, design, amenities, and service. The most extraordinary hotel we’ve ever stayed in, and I can’t recommend it enough!
