The walk up can be a bit of a climb, though we’re still young so we managed. MoRe by Zoia Living is clean and well maintained, in a pleasant, safe-feeling part of Kolonaki with lots of good places nearby. A more flexible checkout time or somewhere to leave luggage afterward would have helped. I also struggled to work out the washing machine and would’ve appreciated a simple manual or quicker guidance from the manager. It’s a nice stay in a good location, and with a little more guest support it could be excellent.

The first two days were awful. I was put in an apartment facing the street, where restaurant noise was unbearable. The first night it went on until midnight, then the next night until 2 AM. They eventually moved me to the back of the building, but failed to mention that I’d need to carry my suitcase up one flight of stairs because the lift only goes to the 5th floor and my new apartment was on the 6th. Then, when I returned to the building one evening, the access code they’d originally given me for the new apartment didn’t work. I phoned five times before I reached someone, who told me the code had been changed. What would have happened if my phone had died and I couldn’t call or read messages? I would’ve had to find a hotel for the night, then wait and hope someone entered the building and agreed to call the property so I could check out and collect my belongings. Anyone managing a property with code access and no on-site emergency contact should rethink how the building is run. This was a HORROR experience, and I’ll never return.

The room was spacious, well equipped, clean, and quiet. But the power setup made the stay miserable at times. Motion sensors controlled the air conditioning and all the outlets, and the system seemed faulty. On the first morning my phone hadn't charged; the next night, power kept cutting out unless someone walked around the kitchen-living area to trigger the sensor. If we were in bed or in the bathroom, everything went off after about two minutes. At 3 AM I was waving my leg from the couch just to get the air conditioning running in the unbearably hot room, and barely slept. There was no reception, so I had to wait until the next day after reporting it on WhatsApp. They moved me to another room, where the system worked properly. A card slot to turn the power on and off would avoid this kind of problem. Also, we weren't allowed to flush toilet paper, but that warning wasn't shown in the pictures or mentioned anywhere.

Getting in was easy with the self check-in, and communication with the property was excellent. The apartment itself was roomy, clean, and nicely designed, with all the facilities we needed. Its location felt safe and was handy for Evangelismos metro. They'd also left Nespresso capsules, water, and considerate little extras, including small portions of olive oil and washing tablets.

The location was a real plus. We liked the neighborhood, with its restaurants and bars, and could stroll to the centre in about 15 minutes. The room was clean and looked recently renovated. The kitchenette had a fridge, washing machine, and microwave, and there was an ironing board and hairdryer too. We got the entry code and contact details by email with plenty of time. The room was smaller than the photos led us to expect, especially the bathroom and bedroom, so it may be worth asking about room size when booking if that matters to you. We stayed three days, and none of the bins were emptied. Since toilet paper couldn't be flushed and one bin was in the bathroom, that got unpleasant. We were also left just two small rolls, so we had to conserve paper on the final evening and morning. We enjoyed our stay overall and would recommend it for a city break or business trip, but I wouldn't choose it for a longer stay because of those issues.
