Navitas House Athens

The neighborhood feels more local than Plaka or Syntagma, which suited us well. It’s a straightforward hotel at a fair price, useful for a quick stop and comfortable enough for a longer visit too. The place was clean and cozy, and the staff were helpful. Downstairs, the coffee shop does tasty breakfast and coffee.

The staff were kind and ready to help. There’s a bar next door and you can hear it, though it didn’t bother me. The room is on the small side, but works well if you’re mainly out sightseeing and just need somewhere to sleep.

We got good value here, and the location made it easy to sleep well: central, but surprisingly quiet. The shower was great, and the coconut soap was a nice touch. There was a fairly large fridge, spare toilet paper, and a hairdryer, though we didn’t need those. Guests on the fourth floor can use the rooftop area at any hour, with a view of the Acropolis. We’re hoping to try it next time. One small thing, the bedside lamp had a blown bulb. It might help to have the housekeeping checklist catch things like that, but it wasn’t a big deal. The internet was poor, and we didn’t get enough toilet paper or basic apartment items like a kettle and cutlery, even after asking. The room was very small and noisy, and the hotel is a long way from the main tourist sights. The people were genuinely nice to deal with, but since this was out of season, another hotel apartment might offer better value.
