Praxitelous Luxury Suites

The desk and restaurant staff were exceptionally warm. We arrived at night on the second night of our booking, unfortunately, and the woman at reception helped with our luggage and brought us a lovely fruit and snack plate. She was kind and sympathetic, though she couldn't change the reservation for us. For the price, the room disappointed a bit. The furnishings and bathroom were nice, but the jacuzzi cover smelled somewhat moldy. Getting to the balcony meant climbing over a ledge about a foot high and stepping down, which could be a problem for accessibility. The bathroom window was open for ventilation, but had no insect screen. It's a nice little boutique hotel, though some upgrades would help it match the "luxury" name and price. Written 9/30/2025: I hadn't stayed here yet when I first wrote this. I planned to arrive the night before my birthday for two nights with my child, but a travel disaster delayed our flight. I understood the booking couldn't be cancelled or refunded, and hoped instead to move the dates so we could still use the two nights we'd paid for. I contacted the hotel on WhatsApp and was told to email. The reply said that since I'd booked through booking, I could only make changes there, but booking said I couldn't change it. I was really unhappy with the customer service. In hospitality, there's usually some way to meet a customer halfway in circumstances like these, but they made no effort and their replies felt uncaring and unhelpful. I was disappointed and wished I'd chosen somewhere else.

The location is great, the breakfast has a good selection, and the staff were helpful. But it's expensive for what's offered. Noise from outside carries into the room, the bathroom is tiny, and the towels were very worn. There's just one slow elevator. Before we left, we couldn't open the locked safety box and couldn't find anyone at reception to assist, so we had to search for someone ourselves.

We had a really good stay at Praxitelous Luxury Suites. The suite was modern, clean, and nicely designed, with a comfortable bed, a sleek bathroom, and thoughtful touches like a coffee machine. Staff were friendly and happy to help with directions or recommendations. It's right in central Athens, close to Monastiraki Square, restaurants, shopping streets, and major landmarks like the Acropolis. Getting around and exploring was easy. We'd definitely recommend it as a stylish, convenient base.
