Regal Hotel Mitropoleos

The hotel is perfectly placed for Athens' sights, with plenty of cafes and restaurants an easy walk away. The rooftop bar and restaurant is worth a visit for the views. I stayed two nights and found the room more than big enough. Mine faced inward, so there wasn't a view, but it was super quiet for me, despite noise complaints in other reviews. There were earplugs in the room. Complimentary water and espresso were nice to have, and the smart TV had Netflix. The bed was very comfortable, especially the pillows. Every staff member I met was welcoming, kind, and friendly. Highly recommended.

On Fridays, people and traffic can make some nighttime noise for rooms on the lower floors facing the Acropolis, so light sleepers may want to keep that in mind. Otherwise, the hotel is in a prime spot near shopping centers, restaurants, and Plaka. The rooms are very clean and modern, with comfortable beds and excellent showers.

We had a pleasant stay, and the staff made us feel welcome. The room was clean and nice enough, while the location was great. That central spot did bring a lot of street noise even with the windows closed, and there was also a fair amount of sound inside from the lift, corridor, and noisy doors. Aside from that, it was fine.

We've stayed here twice now, and it's our favorite hotel in Athens. The service is friendly and pleasant, and the rates are very reasonable. The place is quiet, clean, and high quality, with an excellent location close to everything. We booked an Acropolis-view room, and waking up to that beautiful sight was pure joy. The rooftop bar is stunning as well, with an incredible view of the Acropolis. This is where I'll come back whenever I'm in Athens.
