10/10
The views from the 7th floor restaurant and bar are excellent, and the pool is open in summer. The gym is around the corner as part of the hotel, though it’s fairly basic. It’s an old hotel with a classy feel: blue and gold carpets and rooms, plus cream and wood details. Service was good and generally friendly. The location is excellent, about a 10-15 minute walk to the Acropolis and just across the road from the temple of Olympian Zeus, with many other places close by. A nice way to start or finish a trip.

The pool was closed, apparently because it only opens from May. Everything else was perfect: large, well appointed rooms, spotless throughout, fresh cut flowers, and lovely art. The experienced staff were kind and cordial. Breakfast was complimentary, with high quality service and plenty of choice, though the selection doesn’t change from day to day.

The suite was very clean, check-in was quick, and the staff were friendly and helpful. We got a complimentary bottle of wine in the room. The hotel has a wonderful view and is close to many attractions. The design is beautiful, the food was nice, and the dessert looked eye-catching. I recommend it.

4/10
The location is excellent, and everyone on the lobby team was nice and helpful. Breakfast was decent, though the staff there could have been friendlier. The bigger problems were in the rooms. The first bed was so bad that it left me with back pain for two days. Rooms without an outside window might be fine if you don’t care about the view, but the AC didn’t work. I was moved to a room with a balcony, but it smelled of sewage. None of the rooms had a kettle, so there was no way to make coffee or tea in the morning.

The lobby and the coffee spots on the ground floor look good. The rooftop restaurant has an excellent view of the famous sights. Guests who are younger might want more charging sockets in the room.
