Chris really made the stay, such a lovely person. The hostel is small and close to the metro, and I slept well in a comfortable bed. The shower was hot and had good pressure. Thanks! 😊

Clean, affordable, and the owner was helpful. It’s not especially social, which suited me fine since I needed somewhere to rest.

I left my sunglasses behind, and the wonderful host mailed them to me! Such a cute hostel. I’d definitely recommend it.

Chris moved me into what he called “the best room in the house,” and he was right. It had a double bed, its own bathroom, air conditioning, and a fridge. As a 64 year old with up and down health, I wasn’t looking for a party hostel, so I was happy there. I even stayed in the room where someone said a “wall fell on him.” Some plaster had come loose, but it’s been repaired properly now. The place brought back memories of backpacking in the 1990s, when hostels could be rough around the edges but made up for it with atmosphere, friendly company, local tips, and helpful staff. It could do with fresh paint, and some areas are very small, but it’s inexpensive and handy for the metro and the main train station for the airport. There’s good coffee and food nearby, the main museum is a short Uber ride away, and tour companies such as the Delphi one can collect you at The Stanly Hotel, about a five minute walk away. Go with the right expectations and you should be fine.
