The best parts were the low price, the metro nearby, and the terrace view. Even that terrace was cluttered with broken chairs and cigarette butts. The rest of the place felt badly neglected, especially the shared spaces. There was one women’s bathroom for the dorm, with two showers and a single toilet. The hallway had no airflow and smelled awful, sometimes of smoke. The kitchen was nearly always filthy, with rubbish around, dirty dishes filling the sink, and a fridge too small for the number of guests. I stayed in autumn and wouldn’t want to imagine it in summer heat. I booked two beds in a women’s dorm with a friend. The room itself was decent, but I hadn’t been told when booking that women’s rooms had at least ten people. The manager who lives there also demanded silence even outside quiet hours, so it was hard to move around. The hostel looked nothing like the photos on Booking.com. I don’t usually leave bad reviews, but this is the worst hostel I’ve seen. I won’t return, and I absolutely don’t recommend it.

The location was okay, though the neighborhood felt shady. The place itself has been left to fall apart, and the staff didn’t seem interested in improving it. On the sixth floor, the kitchen, bathroom, and toilet were a mess, the cooking plates were filthy, and the sink was usually stacked with dishes. Friends of mine staying on another floor had bedbugs. Not a place for travelers unless you’re willing to cut corners and don’t mind any of that. It’s a pity.

For the price, the room was okay, though nothing special, and we only stayed one night. The sheets smelled bad, and the old mattress had a big dip in the middle that made it uncomfortable. Check-in was a mess: we waited an hour for the receptionist to show up, and the WhatsApp number we were given didn’t reach anyone. She was friendly and kind once she arrived. The entrance code changes every day, and we only got the new one because another guest happened to give it to us. I don’t know how we’d have got in otherwise. I’m usually easygoing about accommodation, but the poor organization and these small things made it hard not to complain. I’d stay somewhere else.

I canceled my booking after just one night. The rooms looked nothing like the photos, the whole hostel smelled like urine, and it was hard to get through to customer service. The elevator is old and dangerous, and needs fixing before someone gets hurt. It’s clear the owner doesn’t look after the building or think about the people staying there, and just wants quick profit without the responsibility or hassle. Definitely not recommended. Spend 20 to 30 euros more for a decent hostel. Your peace of mind is worth much more.

The one good thing here was the cheap price, along with the kind man at reception. He handled things professionally and seemed to know what he was doing, unlike the owner, who was very unprofessional and took their anger out on others. The hostel was loud around the clock, in the kitchen, bathrooms, and rooms. Between snoring, people walking around, opening doors, and talking on the phone, sleeping was difficult. I was supposed to get one room but was forced into a 12-person dorm, so it didn’t match what I paid for. This is the worst hostel I’ve stayed at in Greece. Do yourself a favor and go anywhere else. I’m sure it’ll go out of business one day.
