There was even a luggage room we could use after checkout since our flight wasn't until late at night. The room itself was spacious, very clean and had useful amenities. It's in a great area near both Monastiraki metro station and Thisio. I'd recommend it without hesitation.
The host was always on hand for our questions. The appartment was cozy and clean, and the location was perfect. Highly recommended!
The cleaner was extremely rude and made our stay unpleasant. When we arranged a late checkout with the host, who agreed, the cleaner still harassed us and made us leave. He banged things around the house to show his dissatisfaction and muttered very loudly in his language. That affected how we felt about staying there. The apartment was spacious, the host responsive, and restaurants were easy to reach on foot, but there was no washing machine or bidet. It also isn't practical if you have heavy luggage.
Walk out the door and there's an awesome view of the Acropolis. Ancient Agora Apartments is also very close to a convenient, easy-to-use metro station, and the location is incredible for sightseeing and getting around downtown. We had an excellent 2-night stay. The rooms were clean and quaint, and we felt very safe. The host was easy to reach about check-in and checkout. I'd read that the area can be noisy, and it can, but I don't think that's a fault of the property. Downtown is probably noisy wherever you stay, so this is a good place to choose. Would recommend.
From the balcony, I could watch the sunrise with my morning coffee and the city lights come on with a glass of wine in the evening. The view alone made the stay worthwhile. The bedroom was cozy, and the bed was so comfortable I slept well after days out exploring. The apartment was spotless, modern and tastefully decorated, with comfortable furnishings and a well-equipped kitchen. It felt like home. Its central location made it easy to reach attractions, restaurants and shops, and take in the local culture. The host was responsive and accommodating from my booking inquiry through checkout, answering questions and offering useful local suggestions. This is a 5/5 place for tourists, whether solo, as a couple, or with friends and family. It exceeded my expectations, and I'd happily stay again on my next visit. A perfect city retreat.
