The Diplomat's homm Trikoupi 95

The staff were so friendly and ready to help whenever we needed something. Our room was spotless and had all the amenities we needed, which made the stay comfortable. It’s in a fantastic spot for exploring the area. I’d happily recommend the hotel and would visit again.

Everything was great until checkout. The cleaners couldn’t show any empathy by giving us just 10 more minutes. That kind of attitude has no place in hospitality.

I’m really grateful for the service and the considerate gesture from the hotel. I’d been charged a cancellation fee after having to cancel the day before I was due to arrive, because a general strike in Greece meant my flight was cancelled. They said a refund might be possible if someone else booked those dates. I’ve now received €235.71 back, which I could otherwise have lost. I’d filed a claim with the airline, but because the flight was cancelled during a 24-hour general strike, something outside the staff’s control, I wasn’t eligible for compensation. I truly appreciate the hotel issuing the refund.

The place worked well for traveling with kids, and we had no trouble getting Uber pickups. It was quiet, with a strong Wi-Fi connection. Cafes and little shops for essentials are close by, while the heart of Athens, with flea markets, major fashion brands, the Acropolis, and other museums, is about a 25-minute walk away. It would have been nice if someone cleared the trash after we left it outside our rooms. Still, it was a great experience for the price, and the location was good. I’d recommend it.
