Victory Inn

I hate to leave this review because the person at reception kindly accommodated us at the last minute. But hotel hygiene is always their responsibility. After a few hours of sleep, I woke to find a bedbug crawling on the white sheets. I’m terrified my clothes might be infested, and I feel itchy all over. I hope the hotel deals with this right away.

We loved our short stay and would come back. The little hotel is on a quiet street, with museums and cafes conveniently close by. The room was very clean, the shower had great pressure and temperature, and the AC worked well overnight. We walked around late at night and felt safe. There’s also a 24-hour mini market nearby with essentials.

Reception was friendly and welcoming, and available at night, which was really convenient. The rooms were clean and had everything we needed. The only small downside was no complimentary water in the room when we arrived. Otherwise, it’s excellent value for money.

We’ll book the Victory inn again if we come back. It’s clean, small, and nice looking, with kind owners, though it isn’t luxurious. That was fine for us since we didn’t need luxury. The hotel is what you’d expect, and breakfast is normal rather than fancy. A taxi to Plaka costs 6 euro, and it’s a nice center with lots of shops and restaurants.
