We had a private chef in for my birthday, and the villa gave our group plenty of room to enjoy it. It’s right in central Athens, so getting out to explore was easy. The house is huge, with a private lift, a lovely garden, a great kitchen, four bathrooms and an extra toilet. A great fit for a big family or a group of friends.

For what it costs, this was a pretty disappointing stay. The towels were rough, there weren’t enough water glasses, and the bathrooms had no basic toiletries or shower curtains, so water went everywhere. The TV didn’t work and all the remotes were dead. The air conditioning also only reached part of the house. It feels like the place is still being finished.

Five of us fit comfortably, and the location was central. A very good place to stay.

Lovely place, though it’s an Airbnb rather than a hotel.

The service was really nice. The surrounding area, though, may not be ideal.
