The staff were friendly, available, and gave us useful recommendations. Check-in by code is possible late into the night, while check-out is handled in chat, so both were easy and painless. The apartment had the amenities we needed for a short vacation and was a good price. It’s about a 10-minute walk to the train and metro, but the city center is far enough away that you’ll need public transport to get around. Recommended for a couple or small family on a budget.

The room was clean and well presented, and the facilities were great: washing machine, fridge, kitchen area, and good air conditioning. There’s a 24-hour coffee shop next door, and the shower itself was good, with a hairdryer provided. A tip for future guests: switch on the boiler at the panel near the front of the room and leave it on, since it takes a while to heat the water. The team replied quickly on WhatsApp. The area is a little run down, but my partner and I never felt unsafe, and taxis booked through apps were easy to get and inexpensive. This is basically an Airbnb, with keys in a lockbox and everything handled online, so calling it a hotel is misleading. We had filtered out this kind of apartment on booking.com because we didn’t want an Airbnb. There’s a cleaning fee, but they don’t clean or service the room during your stay, which I didn’t like. Since the apartment is on a busy street, traffic noise comes through the windows all night, including cars and occasional horns. Earplugs might help. The curtains also let in quite a bit of morning light.

It’s an apartment with self-service arrangements, not a hotel. Check-in was straightforward: contact them for the key locker password. I had good communication with the team through WhatsApp. The place is new, quite clean, and has a full kitchen, washing machine, lift, balcony, air conditioning, and heating. It’s about a 15-minute walk to the center, with a supermarket nearby. The main drawback is the busy road, which brings traffic noise both day and night. The neighborhood isn’t the best, though it’s convenient, and I suspect many city areas are similar. I’d choose a higher floor, like the 4th or 5th, or a room that doesn’t face the road, since the noise should be much less.

They wanted to charge me €50 for a lost key, which seemed bizarre when a replacement costs only €6. The location wasn’t great either, since I had a long walk to the nearest station. I could hear street noise at night, and it disturbed my sleep.
