The balcony and sea view were a real plus, and the room was a decent size. The staff were friendly and quick to sort out anything that wasn't right. The pool was lovely, and there were plenty of bars and restaurants within walking distance. Just be aware the place is up a hill, so getting around could be difficult if walking is a challenge. We managed fine. The rooms are very basic, even for a 3-star, and could use some care. Still, for a budget stay, it was a nice experience.

After a long day, we finally reached Petra at about 8pm, looking forward to the relaxing break we'd booked over a year earlier and saved up for. Instead, we were told there was a water supply problem that would take three days to fix, even though we could hear people upstairs in the bar. They put our cases in a grubby old car's oily boot with tools, jump cables and paint cans, then drove us to another accommodation down the road. There was no security box available to hire. After two days, I went back to ask when our room would be ready the next day and was told 1pm. I left thinking things would finally be okay, but that evening the family we were staying with down the road said Petra had asked us to stay with them because the rooms were full. We've spoken to other people affected this week, and hopefully they'll leave reviews too. A TUI rep also told us Petra is being sold and the current owners aren't bothered about bad publicity. You've been warned. Good luck 👍

The village was lovely and felt safe, and I'd happily return there, just to different accommodation. The people at the place were all really friendly, which is why I've given it any stars. But I definitely wouldn't stay here again. This was my daughter's and my first holiday in 15 years, and I regret booking it. I stayed at the beginning of July. The booking showed a room with stairs and a balcony, but we got a small ground-floor studio instead. No TV, a broken microwave, and ants on the kitchen counter. We arrived very late after a delay and just wanted to sleep. The room tax was 5 euro per night, and air con cost 6 euro per night. It only cooled the studio when the bedroom door was left open, since that's where the unit was. The location is great, though you need good mobility. It was a hard walk up to the room, and after getting the keys we struggled to work out which one was ours. Random mattresses and broken furniture were scattered around. Our room was clean. The cleaner couldn't speak much English, but she was lovely and worked hard in the heat. Outside the bedroom, glass doors opened onto what might have been a private little area, but it was the cleaner's base, full of supplies, and she sat outside the door. I kept the curtains shut because of that. The pool area was alright, a little run down, but that didn't bother me. The food and drinks were tasty and reasonably priced. I wasn't expecting a 5-star stay for what I paid on easyJet, but I did expect the room to match the one shown in my booking. It really didn't.

We're students with limited money, and we'd saved to afford this trip. The way we were treated wasn't good at all, and I can't recommend this place to anyone. It was confusing to work out where to go when we arrived or how to get the keys. Once we had them, we walked up the hill to our accommodation, a climb we hadn't been told about. The room we were given wasn't the one we'd ordered and paid for. We'd paid for a maisonette with stairs and an extra floor, which would have given us more space and kept the beds somewhat separate. Instead, there were two beds side by side, with the one meant for the upper floor only 2-3 meters away. We also found dirty beds and sheets that hadn't been cleaned, along with several spots of growing mould. It was a really disappointing start.

On arrival, you're told there's a plumbing problem and that you'll be sent to a sister hotel for three nights. TUI knows people are being moved to another hotel that's very run down, with no bar, food or reception. It feels like a complete scam. Don't book, or you'll end up stuck in a rundown hovel with no facilities.
