The staff made the biggest impression on us. They really put effort into making guests comfortable, and you don’t feel like just another person passing through. The bar lady was especially lovely, with tasty drinks at fair prices. A frappé for €3 was a great deal. The kitchen staff were welcoming too, and the manager or owner, I think, was very kind and even spoke a little German. We stayed in a swim-up room in the building across the street. The design was modern and stylish, and the room felt cozy and homelike, even with a few little imperfections. The pool area has comfortable sunbeds, and the hotel bar is nicely decorated for evenings. We booked half board. Breakfast and dinner are buffet style, with plenty of variety. It’s not luxury fine dining, but the food was fresh and enjoyable, and everyone can find something to eat. I especially liked the salad section. The hotel is near Bali, with four beaches within walking distance. There’s also a small supermarket around the corner open until 10 PM, handy for drinks and snacks. The area is calm and relaxing. Our holiday here has been even lovelier than we expected, and we still have a few days to go. I’d recommend a stay here. If the world weren’t so big, we’d come back again and again.

At Sunset Boutique Hotel and Spa in Bali, everything was clean, cared for, and welcoming. The staff made the stay feel personal, always greeting me with a smile and going out of their way to make me feel comfortable. Their warmth made it feel special instead of routine. I left very happy and would recommend it for a relaxing stay in Bali. Cook and Barman A++ service!!!!

The hotel looks beautiful outside, with a nice pool, sunbeds, and a bar, but the rest didn’t live up to that. The rooms fell short of the standard set by the exterior, and there was no phone to call reception or ask for help. The food was only okay, with no labels for dishes or allergens. For a four-star hotel, the desserts were very disappointing, and the staff service was fine but nothing special. Checkout was a hassle. The staff member didn’t know how to use the card machine, and since we had no cash, we had to find a long way to pay our tab with cash at an airport ATM. The other ATMs in Bali were out of order. For an international four-star hotel, I’d expect basic machine and IT knowledge. Don’t count on shampoo, conditioner, or body lotion, even though many four-star-plus hotels provide them. They only supply shower gel and hand soap. Towels are changed every 3 days, and the floor was mopped once during our stay. If you visit, I’d suggest getting a superior swim-up room, as those seem to be the only ones worth the price and stay.

I felt so safe and welcome as a solo traveler, like I was part of a big family. The staff are the best, super friendly and helpful. The hotel is beautiful inside and out, and it’s perfectly located just a short walk from the amazing local beach. I’ll definitely be back, thank you 🩷x
