Hotel Kentrikon

The location is great, and late check-in is available until midnight. The parking entrance is quite narrow, though, and our ground-floor room faced the footpath. The windows did nothing to block the noise, so we slept very poorly. I booked a superior family room for three nights. It had very little room to move around, with a tiny toilet and almost no separate shower space. The confirmation email said breakfast was included since we booked directly on the hotel website, but there was no breakfast provision. If I needed to stay longer, I wouldn’t extend here.

The host was very kind and helped us park, since parking around the hotel isn’t guaranteed. It’s in central Chalkida and seems decent for the price. Still, the toilet flush in my room didn’t work, so I had to pour water in manually, the mattress wasn’t very good, and you should check that there’s hot water before going into the room. I wouldn’t recommend it, and would only visit if there were no other choice.

For the price and location, we had a great stay, especially for a couple of nights. The room was simple but tidy and clean, the bed was good, and the service was excellent. The wooden doors did little to block sound, and the view from the room was below par. Still, it worked well for a short stay or just somewhere to sleep for a couple of nights.

It’s a cheap place, but I wouldn’t choose it for a relaxing stay. The beds and curtains were horrible, there were bugs on the bathroom ceiling, and breakfast was awful. We asked for hot water twice in a row and got a bad mood instead of an apology. The cleaner was friendly, at least. Not a good place to stay.
