Agora Suites

We’ve stayed at Agora Suites in Chania several times, and every visit has meant as much to us as the last. Kostas and Niki have become friends, and their warmth, sincerity and knowledge have added so much to our experience. They’ve taught us about Chania’s people, culture and history by generously sharing what they know. They’re thoughtful, generous hosts who always go above and beyond to make us feel welcome and comfortable. The apartment is bright, modern and beautifully designed. It’s been thoughtfully upgraded since our previous stay, with improved amenities, and feels like a home away from home. The location is another big part of the appeal: right in the heart of Chania’s Old Town, which we find the city’s most charming and culturally rich area. Restaurants, shops and cafés are steps away, with historic, character-filled streets all around. Agora Suites remains one of our favorite places in Crete. We’re already looking forward to returning and recommend it to anyone hoping to explore, connect and feel at home.

The little balcony looks out over Chania’s historic market, and you’re surrounded by good local restaurants on the same street. Everything is an easy walk away, including parking if you rent a car to explore the island. The apartment was spotless and really comfortable, with a well-stocked kitchen and useful things for a longer stay, like an iron and board, hairdryer, dehumidifier, and drying rack. There are three beds, including one that extends from a single into a double, so it works well for families. Evangelos was a fantastic host, always checking that we had what we needed and helping with everything from restaurant tips, which we tried and agreed with, to booking a car. His parents live nearby and can help with immediate requests. During pharmacy hours, his mother Niki is downstairs. We had a great time and would happily come back.

Kosta, Evaggelos's father, was the highlight for us. He treated us like family, and we also got to meet his lovely wife. That Cretan hospitality was something special. The apartment itself is gorgeous, spacious, and spotless, with a lovely lounge, kitchen, and dining area. It spans two levels and has comfortable beds for six, including two extra-large beds and a large single rollaway, plus a sparkling bathroom on each level. Shops and restaurants are all around, and you can walk to everything in Chania. It really felt like a home away from home. Sas efharistoume therma Kosta eiste uperoxoi kai den sas xehname pote.

The loft's open layout means there isn't much privacy between the rooms. Still, it's very comfortable, nicely fitted out, and feels like luxury accommodation. The location in Old Town Chania is spot on.
