We’ve stayed in Chania many times and found more hospitable hosts and better places in the same price range, often with regular cleaning. I’d look elsewhere and save the money. The sound carries through every level, even the bed frames creak all night. My friends two floors below could hear me turn over. The wooden interior also feels less stylish and cozy than it looked in the photos. For an expensive stay booked through such an impressive website, we expected much more. The internet kept cutting out, ironing tripped the electricity, and there wasn’t much toilet paper. The space and service were disappointing.

Our host greeted us with helpful details about the house and Chania, and even left us some breakfast treats. Casa Sorvolou made a lovely base for our short stay. The house is right in the historic old town, with the old harbor and city center both about a five-minute walk away. Inside, it feels modern, with lots of architectural character and amenities in excellent condition. We’d happily recommend it.

The hosts were amazing, and the house was modern and clean. It’s on a quiet street but close to everything, a great place for families. Definitely recommend it.

There’s room for five people to stay comfortably, and the house is beautiful. It’s on a calm street, with everything only 2-10 minutes away on foot. The host was attentive, and they even leave sand toys for kids and umbrellas. Inside, though, it gets too hot. You can’t open all the windows because some don’t have fly screens, and there’s a damp smell. The A/C behaves strangely, switching on and off by itself, and even its low setting feels high. Without it, the house is too hot.
