I loved how thoughtfully the interior was designed, with quality materials and decor throughout. The operators seem to have considered all the little comforts a traveler might need, and the stay was very comfortable, especially that hot shower. These suites are right in the center of Chania, with all the attractions easy to reach on foot. Hard to imagine a better place for a holiday.

The property itself is nice, and breakfast at the nearby restaurant was great, but the service made this a disappointing stay. I was traveling alone, and reception was shut when I arrived. I got an email about that only an hour or two beforehand, even though I arrived an hour before the official 15.00 check-in time. Luckily, the kind cleaning lady let me in and explained how to open the room door, which wasn’t straightforward. Reception then had inconsistent opening days and hours. It was closed three days in a row, including at checkout, and most communication happened by email. Asking for an extra bath towel turned into a strange back-and-forth. I’d said before arriving that I don’t drink, but alcohol was still put in the room, which felt like another lack of attention. I’d also mentioned by email that I was celebrating an important birthday, and it wasn’t acknowledged, even though my date of birth was on the registration form I handed to the staff member/owner myself. I wanted the trip to feel special, but instead I felt like just a Euro sign to them. I won’t stay again.

From our room we could easily wander the narrow streets, see the old Venetian walls, and reach the lively waterfront. Being in the historic center of Chania made it easy to soak up the city’s heritage and atmosphere. The room felt like a cozy place to come back to after a day out, with a comfortable bed, plush linens, and a well-equipped bathroom. It also had the modern comforts we wanted, including fast Wi-Fi and a flat-screen TV. Our stay in Chania, Crete felt like stepping back in time while still enjoying plenty of comfort.
