The central location is convenient, but I wouldn't book here again. We were promised a room with two single beds and a balcony, yet when we arrived in the evening, Earini said by phone that other people were still in it and we had to spend the night in a back room. We were upset, but there wasn't much we could do so late. Both back rooms we were shown were old and in very shabby condition. The next day, after those guests left, we were moved to the front room with a balcony. It was better than the back rooms, but still shabby and in need of a proper clean and freshening up. They moved our small amount of luggage for us. We also only learned when paying before we left that payment had to be in cash. That wasn't mentioned when we booked. If we'd known, we'd have preferred Booking.com, since the rate was the same and we could have paid by card. ATM withdrawals and bank fees cost a lot when you're not from Europe, and that matters when comparing options. Be aware that the rooms aren't great, cash is required, and you may not get the room you agreed to, despite the written booking.

The location put us right in the center of Chania's old town, and the room was nicely decorated and, above all, very clean. We spent four nights there. Earini and her husband were wonderful, checking in to see if everything was okay and sharing suggestions for restaurants, beaches, and other things to do. I'd recommend Earini rooms for a lovely stay in Chania.

That roof garden and terrace, along with the central location and all the charm, made our four nights at Earini Rooms special. Earini was warm and lovely, looked after us, and was especially sweet with our kids. It was the best part of our time in Greece.

Being right in the middle of Chania means you do hear noise during sleeping hours. If you're sensitive to that, this probably isn't the place for you, though we were fine with it. The host was really friendly and helpful.

We felt so at home that we ended up extending our stay, and we'll definitely come back. Irini & Gabriel welcomed us right away, shared great places to eat away from the tourist spots, and even arranged a hire car for us. Our room was personal and charming, simple but had enough, with none of that Ikea hotel-room feel. The balcony looked onto the street, where we liked watching people go by. Upstairs, there was a peaceful chill area and a plant-filled terrace.
