Hamam Suites II

I was at the end of my trip and had a Sunday morning flight, so I booked this place because it advertised parking. I had a very big piece of luggage and wanted to avoid dragging it over the old town's stone streets. The accommodation later told me that the room I had booked didn't include parking and that its street wasn't even accessible by car. The apartment is in the extremely touristy old town, and locals already get annoyed when people wheel luggage along the streets at 6am on a Sunday. I asked if they would cancel my non-refundable booking without a charge, but they refused. They offered a cheaper apartment on a street I could drive to, but there was no way to park there either. I went ahead to avoid paying twice, but spent 30 minutes looking for parking and then carried my 22kg bag 600m. I was very disappointed to get something different from what I had booked. The rooms are a bit moist, though okay with the AC on.

The old town location is fantastic, right at its heart, and the place itself is certainly interesting. The bed was really good, with a comfortable mattress and quality bed linen. The bathroom was good too, though there's nowhere to put toiletries except along the sink rim. Storage was a serious problem for me during my long stay. There's barely room for clothes or anything else: just the rack shown in the picture and a small table by the wall, which could only hold 5 pairs of socks. Cleaning was no issue. The lady was helpful and did a great job every day, and Dimitra replied quickly to my chat questions and offered advice on getting around. Do use the room's dehumidifier, since the damp can affect your sleep and leave your clothes absorbing moisture.

The basic amenities were fine, but for the price I expected more. There was no breakfast, the outlets felt poorly made, the whirlpool lights didn't work, and the shower door seemed cheap and got in the way. Three stars for the whirlpool.
