It’s tucked into a calmer, quieter spot in the heart of the old Town, while still being near all the attractions.

The WiFi didn’t work, and that was the only downside.

Ekaterini felt tucked away from the city and the other apartments, but still had two exits that made it easy to walk to everything. It’s right in the middle of the Old City, about a 3-minute walk from the Old Venetian Harbour and the rest. The host was lovely, and everything was perfectly clean, with Greek-style decor and no wear inside or out. The apartment has a large, beautiful terrace and garden on the first floor, plus another fairly large terrace off the bedroom upstairs. The garden has lots of lovely trees and colorful flowers. We’d stay here again if we return to Chania.

We spent a lot of time on the lovely terrace. The house is spacious and beautifully placed on the old town wall in central Chania, close to the harbor yet peaceful. There are quite a few stairs, so it’s not suitable if you have trouble walking. The owner was very helpful and told us a lot about the place. There’s also a really good restaurant right next door.
